Every card carries with it a number called the personal identification number (PIN). Whenever a call is to be made, the caller has to dial the PIN number, the country code, area code and the required telephone number. Normally, memorizing these numbers is quite difficult. Apart from this, dialing all these numbers takes time and there is also a possibility of wrong dialing. This shortcoming has been answered by introduction of speed dialing. This utility is available in all phone cards free of cost. To avail this utility, the calling company assigns a number called access number. Once this number is assigned the caller will register the frequently called numbers with the helpline of the calling company. Whenever he wants to call, he will just dial his access number. The calling company will navigate the caller to the various numbers he has registered. The caller will select the required number and he is connected.

This being prepaid calling plan, the balance available in the plan will get reduced with every call made. The caller has the option to recharge the plan by buying extra calling time either from any of the retail outlets or it can be bought online also. As a result, the value of the calling plan is restored. The extra calling time can be bought depending on the callers calling need.
