Use Phone Cards to Pay Less on Long distance Calls
The only drawback of long distance call is the expense on such calls. But, there are ways to restrict the expense and this can be done through calling cards.
These are prepaid cards are preloaded with certain amount as credit. The purchaser buys them for specified amount. It will have validity for certain specified period from the date it is activated. Further, normally, the preloaded cards will not have any hidden cost. It is very easy to use. One has to just dial the assigned PIN and he is connected to the long distance call platform. Normally, all long distance calls need enabling by the service provider. But, Phone Card is an exception to this rule, because no enabling is required in this case.
Further, here cost per call or cost per minute of calling is considerably lower compared to calling from mobile or land line. At regular intervals, the user is informed of the balance available in the card. This will alert the user and he can discipline his call to the balance available. The user can get it recharged as per his requirement.
The balance in the card can be transferred to a new card, if the user so desires. This will save a lot of money for the user. VOIP or Voice over Internet Protocol is a new addition to the filed of communication. This system is quite economical. It is so cheap, that some service providers allow this facility free of cost. Here, the caller is connected to the other party through computer. This has become possible through an appropriate software which can be downloaded free of cost.
