What You Should Know About Calling Cards
A prepaid phone card is also known as a calling card and it is a card used in making long distance calls, be they domestic or international. You pay in advance so there are no monthly bills. Prepaid cards are available everywhere, even on the internet. So you can buy them any where and any time you want.
The prepaid phone card is the cheapest and most convenient way of making long distance calls when compared to other call options. A typical prepaid phone card comes with an access number and a PIN printed on it. To make calls with the phone card, simply dial the access number, enter the PIN and then follow an automated voice prompt which will ask you to put in the phone number you want to call. After that you can start talking.
Prepaid phone card providers keep record of the time used by the card’s user. You can buy more time and add up to some prepaid cards and the added cost is usually billed to your credit card. On the other hand, some cards are meant to be discarded after all the time on then has been exhausted. Prepaid phone cards may also have expiration dates. Watch out for this expiration date and ensure to empty any time left in the card before this date or risk losing your unused minutes.
Finally, if you have any problem with a prepaid phone card, try contacting the card issuer, who is usually listed on the back of the card. You can also get the contact of the issuer through the customer service number listed on the card.
